Join Our Summer Theatre & Language Experience!

Bedford Young Theatre is looking for enthusiastic teenagers aged 15 to 17 to join our unique Summer Camp Buddy Programme.

This summer, you’ll work alongside Spanish students who are improving their English — while you get the chance to practise your Spanish, develop new skills, and make international friends.

 

✨ What makes this experience special?
This year, we will also be creating and performing scenes from an exciting theatrical production based on the First Circumnavigation of the World, telling the story of Magellan and Elcano, the first sailors to sail around the globe.
It’s a creative, fun, and meaningful way to explore history, languages, and performance!

 

🎭 Your Role as a Buddy

• Support Spanish students in improving their English through games, role play, and activities

• Help them understand and perform short scenes and scripts

• Collaborate in the creation of theatre pieces

• Encourage communication in both English and Spanish

• Build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills

A teacher will always be present to guide and support you.

 

 

Schedule

• Dates: July 9th – July 28th (Monday to Friday)

• Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

• Location: Bunyan Meeting Hall, Bedford
